And there are more but I cut the list off here ^^ for now. Gee, ya think faith and patience are important? Who has to have faith? We do. Does that mean we have to "do" something? You bet we do. We have to have faith. We have to be patient.
Back to the miracle we need. We bring the Lord His Word and our faith to work with every time we lay a request at His feet. And what does the Word say about our miracle?
... and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him |
... name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. |
If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. |
... For this reason I say to you, All things whatsoever ye pray for and ask, believe that ye receive it, and it shall come to pass for you. .. |
Matt 7:7 (NLT) "Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
Now, these ^^ are promises right? Well what does the Word say about the promises?
... so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. |
How do we inherit the promises? Through what? Faith and patience.......
Would you say that having faith and patience tries us? You bet it does. How many people give up before they inherit? Lots, many. Patience is not easy. Being patient requires suffering and discipline and faith and hope and mental/spiritual work.
This also requires constant day by day walking with the Lord. What has the Lord told you? Yes? No? Wait? You may say "well I don't know brother D, I haven't heard a voice tell me yet." How does the Lord speak to you? He speaks in many ways at many different times through anything He wants to speak through. In this nobody's experience one way He speaks is through our inner peace. What does your inner spirit say about what you are asking for? Are you at peace with your request? Are you troubled by it at all? If your inner man/spirit/whatever you want to call it is at peace then KEEP PRAYING AND BELIEVING FOR YOUR MIRACLE.
The Lord, Holy Spirit must be your guide in all this. What does the Word say? What does the Spirit of the Lord say? What is your own spirit within you testifying to?
The Lord has moved heaven and earth for the brother who writes to you now. Why? I am loved, and so are you. I am a child belonging to Him and so are you. I bring Him my faith and His Word and so do you. The Lord has different work for each one of us. Apparently at least part of His work for me is to testify to you. Whatever has been done for me will be done for you. The Lord has moved heaven and earth for me, He will also do this for you. Throw all the excuses people have use to sabotage their own faith out the window. No I am not more special, more holy, more whatever you want to fill the blank in with. I am a testimony, that is it. A nothing and a nobody that the Lord has shown miracle power to so that you who are somebody and something in Christ will believe and receive the promises He has given to all of us.
The purpose for writing to you today is to encourage you. The promises of the Lord carry power within them. The promises are sure and alive right now today for YOU. Bring the Lord your requests in faith wrapped in praise and thanksgiving and followed up with His Word. What can our Lord not resist? His own Word and our faith.
... so My word that comes from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do. |
^^ AMEN.
The answer to your prayer is on the way.
grace and peace
Thankyou for your words of encouragement.
