Over the past few days the Lord has exercised the power of his arm on my behalf and a major push forward occurred two days ago. I expect full birth either tomorrow or shortly in the days ahead. I wanted to write about this to capture the internal feelings and thinking occurring within me at this stage.
In one way I feel like a fighter in his last round. I feel exhausted, humbled, tired, glad, hopeful, joyful and beat up all at the same time. This writer has experienced many miracles but this one was the most taxing. It has been written on the other blog (Christian Apostasy) that this writer has his prayers answered all the time. I almost regret writing that because although it is true the statement is too simple. Sometimes the answer is no, sometimes the answer is wait, and sometimes the answer is yes or a combination the three.
We serve a God who loves us and wants us to pray. He tells us to pray for a reason, so we (or others) can receive answers. I think when people pray and do not get what they want when they want it they walk away and say "God doesn't answer my prayers." That is the saddest thing other than eternal death. When a person quits on God or prayer how can they get the miracles they need? How can they get the answers they need?
I understand in part why they quit. They do not see the entire picture. Do they understand that to quit on the source of miracles is to cast themselves on the 'mercy' of the world? Is the world or men or the devil going to get you your miracle? No. The world and men cannot offer you miracles because they have no power to work miracles. The devil can work miracles but the price is your soul. No thanks.
This miracle has felt like a battle from the beginning but here at the end its taken everything I had to hang on. Every ounce of faith was needed to see this thing to the point of crowning, and its not quite over yet. The purpose in writing this is to share something, anything that might light the spark of faith for your answered prayer and/or miracle. All it takes is a spark to light a raging fire. The Lord provides the raging fire if you provide the spark. If the enemy or your own weakness or doubt or whatever blows the spark away then create another spark. Ask yourself, do I believe the Lord can do this? If your answer is yes, there is your spark. Ask yourself do I believe the Lord will do this? If your answer is yes, thats another spark. Has the Lord done anything good for you in the past? If your answer is yes that is another spark.
If you create enough spark you will ignite the fire that will produce your miracle. The Lord compares miracle power of faith to a mustard seed:
Luke 17:6He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.
Was the Lord joking? No. Storytelling? No. He was serious.
When you feel like you are dragging along the bottom of a lake in despair, cry out for help. Cry out non stop. Lord, HELP ME. Don't give up.
The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help. |
As a military guy I think about a commander on the field who is hopelessly outnumbered but has a radio to call for airstrikes and artillery. He calls once and gets no answer or gets static. Does that commander roll over and play dead or keep calling? He has the power at his finger tips to literally bring down wrath of God type destruction on the enemy but if he does not get through the first time HE NEEDS TO KEEP TRYING. Its the difference between life and death both for that commander and for many of us.
The Lord is not deaf, He is not hard of hearing, He is not blind and He loves us. Does He know your situation inside and out? Yea, but He set up the rules of this life to force us to do things His way. His way is not the easy way. Jesus proved that on the cross. Look what had to be done for us, the Son of God sacrificed for our sins. He requires faith of us. He requires patience and obedience and the willingness to fight.
Rev 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
Cowards aren't going to make it in guys. I've had my share of fear but what is courage? Courage is staying in the fight in spite of your fear. It is not the absence of fear.
This writer would like to encourage you today to stay in the fight. I am the least of the brothers and sisters who are in Christ so if I can see miracles and answers to prayer so can you. The Lord chose the weak things of this world to shame the strong.
... But God chose what the world thinks foolish to shame the wise, and God chose what the world thinks weak to shame the strong. |
If weak and foolish do not sum up this writers past I don't know what does. Take courage today and lift your head up. Wipe the tears from your eyes and renew your strength in the Lord. Read the Word which is your bread. Every Word from the Father is our food to eat. Food makes the body strong. Cry out to the Lord non-stop. Petition Him day and night. Enlist anyone who prays to take up your burden with you and carry the load to the Father's feet.
Last but certainly not least ask the Lord for His guidance for your situation. Ask Him to lead you to who, what and where you need to be. Ask Him to let you know if you are on the wrong track and to assist you to get on the right track. Ask Him for the wisdom to know His will and the strength to do it. Men, cannot help you with these ^^ things, only the Lord can.
Take heart, keep the faith and hold on. If you want me to pray with you to help carry the burden, submit a comment for moderation with your contact info (it wont be published) and I will help you carry the load to the Lord.
grace and peace
